Helping organizations and communities thrive through evidence-based approaches to well-being, leadership, and workplace health.

I’m Michael Campbell, MHR—an Occupational Health Psychology PhD student, combat veteran, and passionate advocate for evidence-based workplace transformation. My research focuses on improving organizational effectiveness, workplace meetings, mental health, and physical health in professional environments. Whether in the field as a U.S. Army medic or in the research lab analyzing a wide range of meeting dynamics, I bring resilience, scientific rigor, and a deep commitment to helping people flourish.

About me

After serving 10 years in the U.S. Army as a combat medic, I transitioned to a career in psychological science and organizational health. I hold a Master’s degree in Human Resources from Utah State University, a Bachelor of Science in Social Psychology from Park University, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Occupational Health Psychology at the University of Utah. My work blends rigorous research with lived experience to understand how leadership, power, and culture impact employee well-being.

I’m particularly interested in workplace meetings, spiritual care in palliative settings, and organizational justice. My work has been featured at major conferences including SIOP and NORA, and in publications such as Edward Elgar’s Research Handbook on Group Decision Making (currently being published).
